The Style of a Golden Isles Wedding Photographer

As an experienced wedding photographer, I believe in capturing the true essence of couples and their families on their special day. My philosophy is centered around reflecting the authentic dynamics of the bride and groom, documenting their wedding exactly as it unfolds. Unlike photographers who prioritize their own image, I focus on showcasing the couple's unique style.

When clients revisit their wedding photos in the future, my goal is for them to relive those precious moments as they truly happened. One of the most gratifying compliments I have heard from my clients is, "You captured us just as we are."

As you explore this portfolio, consider what you seek in a photographer. Are you looking for someone who molds the photography to fit a particular brand? Or someone who will capture your special day the way it actually happened?

FAQ

Where are you based and are you available to travel?

I am based in the beautiful Golden Isles of Georgia! I live in a small town called Darien, and I'm a short drive to Sea Island, St. Simons Island, and Jekyll Island. I actually live dead in between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL. I am always game to travel! Additional costs depends on the location and length of stay.

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

That's a tricky question! I have been around wedding photography my entire life. I actually started second shooting 15 years ago. I piddled doing a few on my own here and there, but I became a full time lead wedding photographer in 2019. That also happens to be the year that Shanda joined my team!

How many photos will we receive in our gallery?

I don't promise a specific amount of images. It all depends on how long you have us there and how much is going on. I can honestly say that I have never had a complaint of a gallery being too small. I do believe in quality over quantity. If you'd like to view a full wedding gallery, feel free to ask!

What is your turn around time?

I like to say two weeks. However, life does happen. I do stay in constant contact "if" I see that it will be longer.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Nikon! Between Shanda and I, there are four cameras going all day long.

I'm debating to do a 1st look or not, what is your opinion?

DO IT!! This takes so much pressure off of the couple on the wedding day. You have a moment to yourselves and all the formal shots can be done prior to the ceremony. This means you actually have more time with your guests!

What about Covid-19??

So far, we have been blessed. Shanda and I both have been vaccinated. But in the case that one of us comes down with Covid, or any other illness, the other will cover and we will do everything possible to replace the second photographer.

In the event of another Covid-19 outbreak, or any other acts of God, we are more than happy to reschedule. The new date must be an available date for RBP and all monies paid will be applied towards the new date. All payments made to RBP are non-refundable.
